Daniel Rothman is a Director of Photography based in New York City. His background is in film and video, specializing in cosmetics/beauty, and food/beverage.
At an early age, Daniel was inspired by Jacques Cousteau and his work in underwater cinematography. There were fish tanks with a variety of aquatic species lining every wall of his bedroom. He wore a red woolly hat, and had dreams of working underwater as a marine biologist and cinematographer. As he got older, his obsession with the underwater world shifted into a love for film and cameras. He now channels this passion through still life and beauty video.
Daniel’s attention to detail, collaborative energy, and imaginative spirit are some of his best qualities behind the camera. He resides in Queens with his wife Paige and their bunny Lyla. Daniel’s favorite activity outside of the studio is exploring the variety of foods Queens has to offer.
